The 2023 Spirit of Mother Jones Award was presented yesterday to Mick Lynch by James Nolan at the Spirit of Mother Jones Festival in Shandon in front of a capacity at the Dance Cork Firkin Crane.

Congrats to the Mother Jones Committee in identifying Mick Lynch RMT to
receive The Spirit of Mother Jones Award 2023. Mick is a union leader of
extraordinary courage, determination and vision and our union movement
is all the stronger for his daily efforts on behalf of railway workers, their
families and communities across the UK. His added solidarity with other
trade unions gives work a valuable added importance.

Having been force fed the list of “honours” dished out by bojo which has rendered the KBE, OBE, CBE etc more of an embarrassment than an honour, reading this article is inspirational and I hope the publicity goes viral for the sake of humanity.
